Sr. Lucy Lukasiewicz, DLJC was born in Grand Island, Nebraska.
At age 17, Sister Lucy began to hear of and experience charismatic prayer meetings and baptism in the Holy Spirit. Soon after she she was given information about the Disciples of the Lord Jesus Christ, which is a Catholic Charismatic Franciscan Religious Institute of Sisters. She came to the Disciples at age 19, and received the name Sister Lucy as a novice. She professed her first vows in 1984, and her final vows in 1988. She was elected Superior General for six years in January 2002 and again in 2008. She was elected to the National Service Committee in January 2012, and reelected in 2015.
Sister Lucy’s greatest joy is praising the Lord and bringing people to a deeper realization of a great God who has a plan for their life. Her heart says, ”Lord, I am your servant. I have come to do Your will.”
Father John Gordon is the Associate to the Vicar for Pastoral Life/Coordinator, Vicar for Pastoral Life/Evangelization. Fr. John Gordonis the Coordinator of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Archdiocese of Newark.
Fr. John Gordon, a priest of the Archdiocese of Newark, has been involve in the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in local, regional, national and international ways, since 1975. A former member of the National Service Committee, and formerly on the staff of Franciscan University of Steubenvill, Fr. John is parochial vicar at Holy Family in Nutley. He leads a weekly Bible Study eased on Sunday readings. He is part of the Fraternity of Priests in New Jersey, praying and sharing with them for over 25 years.
